The lotus’ long history has earned it the title of India’s national flower and a symbol of purity in Buddhist and Hindu traditions. The Red Lotus contains bioflavonoids that act on the GABA receptors, and drinking or smoking it induces relaxation. The GABA chemical receptor system, inhibits and calms the nervous system. It is a much safer and more natural alternative to the highly addictive benzodiazepine class of drugs which produce the same effects by acting on the GABA receptors.
